Residential areas of single-family homes, Finland

Sundsberg Kartanonranta, Kirkkonummi

Our largest construction area in Finland is currently the Sundsberg Kartanonranta in Kirkkonummi. Sundsberg is located on the shore area of Espoonlahti Bay between the Länsiväylä and Ring III highways, so it has great connections. The size of the area is 100 hectares. Half of the area is already constructed. Sundsberg Kartanonranta is a safe village that is favoured by families with children that is offset amongst beautiful nature.

In total, approximately 700 single-family homes will be built in Kartanonranta. The diverse, wooden single-family homes are already now forming a village; a modern community of wooden houses complete with services that is located right in the middle of nature.

Majtorp, Kivistö

A new, idyllic residential area of single-family homes will be constructed in Majtorp. 70 detached and semi-detached houses will be built in Kivistö, next to the Vanha Nurmijärventie. The construction of this garden-like residential area of single-family homes will start in autumn 2010. Vanha Nurmijärventie is a beautiful part of the landscape, and it connects the future residential area with the village milieu of Vantaa. The communications are also improved by the Ring Rail Line, whose new station is a little more than a kilometre away.

The architecture of the area is based on the Finnish wooden town tradition, but the cosy neighbourhood is also influenced by Swedish children’s literature, such as the Six Bullerby Children by Astrid Lindgren.
