Rail transport

We provide reliable rail transport services for our customers. We tailor individual solutions from simple car lease agreements to complete dispatching services according to our customers’ individual needs.

We operate in the transit traffic between Finland and Russia as well as the Russian internal traffic by using our own Russian wagons. Our Russian Subsidiaries, EKE Awag and EKE Trans, own nearly 1,500 wagons in total. EKE Awag uses high-quality timber cars to transport more than a million tonnes of timber every year to the Russian internal market and for export to the West. The structure of the cars has been developed so as to make the loading and unloading processes quick, easy and safe. EKE Trans, on the other hand, uses its tank cars for oil transports within Russia.

In addition to our primary fields of timber and oil, we also provide rail transport solutions of containers, long goods and soil internally within Russia as well as for the import and export traffic.
